Accutron Salesman's Case

This is the only one of these cases that I have ever seen.  If you know anything about this case such as who made them or when they were made, please Contact Me and let me know.

I am sure it was used by a Bulova Sales Representative to teach retail salespersons how to sell Accutrons.  My best guess is that it was made to support the launch of the new 218 series Accutrons in 1965-1966.

It measures 19 1/4 inches wide, 15 inches tall, and 6 1/4 inches thick.

The watch model inside measures 14 inches from lug to lug, with an outside case diameter of 12 1/4 inches.  The case back is 10 inches in diameter.

The tuning fork is motorized.  The last thumbnail in the table below is a movie of it in action but it is a large file, about 4 MB.

My assistant, showing up in some of the pictures, is Annie.
